The Augmented World Expo 2018 ( AWE 2018), a massive augmented reality ( AR ) and virtual reality  ( VR) conference and expo, where a mix of CEOs, CTOs, designers, developers, creative agencies, futurists, analysts, investors, and press get a  fantastic opportunity to learn, inspire, partner, and experience first hand the latest trends and techniques in the sector of augmented reality .

As of today, the 9th annual Augmented World Expo (AWE 2018) was the largest ever. AWE 2018  clearly showcased that the AR and VR industries are growing. This networking event highlights were a combination of superb targeted applications and some great new technologies targeting the broader consumer audience.

At the AWE 2018 attendees get their hands on some never-been-seen-before VR and AR demos. With the aim of eliminating barriers between consumers and experiences, the AWE Playground has almost two dozen of the VR/AR industries companies contributing experiences. The playground features a variety of experiences covering areas such as art, cinema, travel, and video games and allows attendees free access to experiences that might otherwise be unavailable to them.

The AWE 2018 spotlight speakers, startups, and organizations that are already utilizing AR & VR to drive economic growth, boost empathy and collaboration, democratize healthcare and education, and change the world.

The event shows why every business, startup, and the investor must get into XR (short for AR, VR, MR) so that they will not be left behind.  The AWE 2018 is promoting X Reality (XR or Extended Reality) , technology-mediated experiences that combine digital and biological realities,  that enables content creation for virtual reality (VR), mixed reality (MR), and augmented reality (AR). XR users produce new forms of reality by bringing digital objects into the real world and bringing real-world objects into the digital world.

Last month, Tom Emrich, the founder of the AWE Expo did a pre-presentation event at the Microsoft Reactor in San Francisco, with AR startups to showcase their products for an exciting audience of VR/AR/MR passionates.
