What are the most epic venues in San Francisco to host a happy hour?

Without any more introductions meet the best venues to host your happy hour.

620- Jones

A BAR-RESTAURANT BY ANY OTHER NAME…

Funny little fact: While most people refer to us by our address, “620 Jones,” our real name is, quite simply, “Jones.” So there you go, and now you know.

Azucar Lounge

Located a few blocks off of the 101 on the corner of 9th Street and Folsom Street in the heart of San Francisco’s SOMA Nightlife District.

Azucar is a spacious and welcome escape from busy City life. Our designer has set up vignettes to feel warm and comfortable in our home away from home retreat. Our lounge is great for office happy hours, wedding celebrations, birthday parties and more!

We are open 7 days a week with our kitchen closing one hour before the bar and have just recently started serving Lunch on weekdays from 11:30am - 3:00pm!

John Collins

For Birthdays, After Work Events, Holiday Partys and Celebrations Large or Small, John Colins is the perfect venue for you next event. Close to Moscone center, Museum of Modern Art, Yuerba Buena Center, AT&T park, as well as Bart and Bus station.

Pete’s Tavern

The Mezzanine can hold up 75 people for a casual reception, or 60 seated including the railing overlooking Pete’s Tavern.
You and your guests will have your own private bar as well as 5 flat screen TV’s to watch whichever event you choose.

Barbarossa Lounge

Barbarossa is a cocktail-driven bar and lounge in North Beach, breathing new life into the historic location at 714 Montgomery Street.
As one of the oldest buildings in San Francisco, having survied the famous 1906 earthquake, Barbarossa will showcase an entirely new concept - one that is full with legend and mystery as the space was used as a jailhouse in the 10th Century. Most recently serving the neighborhood as the former Bubble Lounge, Barbarossa is where Barbary Coast atmosphere meets modern luxury, while maintaining relevancy to present San Francisco drinking culture.

Press Club

Press Club, a wine bar and lounge, offers California’s finest wines and beers in a sophisticated, social atmosphere. Press Club’s menu of seasonal small plates and thoughtful pairings offers the ultimate wine experience in one of San Francisco’s most notable destinations.

Wine Down

We like to drink. We like to have fun. We don’t take ourselves too seriously.
We met while working at a sustainability-focused organization (just a few blocks from 685 Folsom!).  We’d count down the minutes until we could leave the office to grab after-work drinks.

Alchemist Bar and Lounge

With its steampunk decor and speakeasy feel, Alchemist is the perfect place for anyone to gather for either an afterwork drink or a long night of expertly crafted cocktails. Nestled in it’s second floor location right around the corner from AT&T Park, Alchemist fills a necessary void as a hip, quasi-dive bar with class in a neighborhood that’s heavily dominated by sports bars. The house cocktail menu utilizes a collection of herbs, tinctures, house made infusions and hand crafted syrups. Alchemist has multiple layers and levels for all types of drinkers. Under the leadership of a talented, humble and passionate crew,  Alchemist will offer a balance of top-notch craft cocktail bar, neighborhood watering hole, industry hangout, and incubator for emerging bar stars.

Churchill

Churchill serves up straightforward, world-class cocktails in a space that recalls WWII-era bars and canteens. If a well-traveled diplomat needed a stiff drink during his stopover in San Francisco during the 1940s, we like to think this would be his favorite watering hole. We’ve mixed vintage fixtures, raw and reclaimed materials with modern accents to create an atmosphere of unpretentious sophistication: Yes, our bar is handcrafted from a single slab of walnut. No, we don’t expect you to be gentle with it.

Topsy’s Fun House

Topsy’s Fun House,  a wonderful experience from top to bottom. Art-directed within an inch of its life, the Financial District cocktail spot is neither clownish nor self-serious, just well thought-out. And the drinks are very good

Local Edition

“Our cocktail menu includes both the contemporary and the classic with a strong nod to the drinking habits of a not so distant era. “Culinary” Highballs, updated versions of the Bloody Mary and Gibson are just a few of the choices we offer. We also have tableside decanter service should you feel the need to indulge in your favorite spirit chosen from a list of small production craft distillers.”

The Office

The Office is a full-service private event space that specializes in creating unique events that exceed our client’s expectations. The venue is centrally located in the Upper Market neighborhood, and sits above its sister bar, Churchill. Known for its hand crafted cocktails and premier spirits selection, the space combines serene elegence and urban sophistication in a world class setting.

Natoma Cabana

Relax on the lounge chairs with cocktails at the newly opened Natoma Cabana in the Financial District. The natural light and summer weather will add to the magical vibe of this spot.

Barrel Head and BreaHouse

You can read their menu, and full description here.

Lord George

During the Prohibition era, many great American barkeeps traveled to Europe to continue practicing their craft (and, let’s face it, keep the party going).

Overseas and over time, the brash and unapologetic American style became polished and gained a new maturity, as we learned from fellow bartenders across the Atlantic.

Inspired by this transformative period in history, at Lord George we aim to treat everyone as Lords and Ladies, while never losing our mischievous nature.

I think that you have a good variety of options there :).

Let me know if I can help you with something else.

Thank you
